Brownfields Program - Qualified Environmental Professional
The City of Bangor has been awarded a U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Brownfields Cleanup Grant to pay for remediation activities at 287 Godfrey Boulevard, Bangor International Airport (BGR), Building #610, (known as the “Alert Building”), which is located on the site of the former Dow Air Force Base in Bangor, Maine. The City seeks a Qualified Environmental Professional (QEP) to oversee the cleanup project and management of this grant and is soliciting proposals from firms with proven expertise in environmental site and risk assessment, management plans, quality assurance project plans, groundwater and soil sampling, remediation strategies and clean-up, cost estimates and cost control, and community outreach and public presentations.
