Purpose

The purpose of this sources sought notice is to determine if there are sufficient Small Businesses to warrant a set-aside for such socio-economic concerns for this procurement. This notice is for market research to make appropriate acquisition decisions and to gain knowledge of potential qualified Small Businesses interested and capable of providing the requirements described below. Documentation of technical expertise must be presented in sufficient detail for the Government to determine that your company possesses the necessary expertise and experience to compete for this acquisition. If adequate interest is not received by the closing date of this notice, this requirement will not be set-aside. Interested firms must reply in writing, via email to Andrew.baker@va.gov. Responses to this Sources Sought notice are due no later than March 1, 2024 at 1:00 PM EST.

This requirement is for Construction Services.

The contractor shall provide construction services to renovate S1-S5 elevator cabs, entrances and
replace associated mechanical and electrical drive components including but not limited to motors, controllers, TUG interface, drive brakes, rope brakes, drive ropes, governors, & buffers. This project will extend elevator S3 down to the ground floor, and will include all necessary demolition, pipe relocation and structural work. All work will occur in accordance with the statement of work, drawings, and all applicable documents.

The expected range of construction costs is expected to be $5,000,000.00 to $10,000,000.00.
