Description

This requirement is a continuation of contract 22P0183 that is to be performed by Automated Precision Inc. (API) for the calibration, maintenance, and repairs on their own equipment to factory new standards. The calibration process is acceptable by NAVSEA METCAL standards and no other vendor offers such a service. Portsmouth Naval Shipyard must ensure that the requirements set forth by the NAVSEA Metrology and Calibration (METCAL) Technical Warrant Holder (TWH) are met (as directed in NAVSEA Letter Serial Numbers 04RM/4391 and 04RM/4392 dated 24 Feb 2012). API is the only company to meet NAVSEA METCAL requirements for calibration. APl's calibration process is proprietary and cannot be performed by ANYONE else except the OEM. Therefore, this requirement is to be solicited in accordance with Sole Source restrictive rights.
